IFDC-Africa’s
Primary Components
The
Integrated Intensification Program aims at
developing and transferring integrated soil fertility
management techniques for different agroecological
zones and diverse socioeconomic conditions that can
trigger sustainable agricultural intensification.
Emphasis is placed on optimizing the efficiency of the
use of external inputs to ensure profitability and
limit environmental risks.
The
Input Accessibility Program aims at fine-tuning
and extending integrated soil fertility management
technologies in participation with the stakeholders.
Packages are developed out of such technologies,
socioeconomic measures, and institutional changes.
These packages should trigger agricultural
intensification and rural development, while making
agriculture more sustainable.
