These
projects cover 7 countries, 15 pilot sites and more
than 70 villages in West Africa. The overall objective
is to increase the productivity, profitability, and
sustainability of agricultural production for small
farmers. Emphasis is placed on training in
participatory technology development, strengthening
farmers’ organizations, and improving access to
credit and input-output markets. Hands-on training
programs have expanded to improve the capacity of
partner institutions in applying the ISFM approach.
